About Renée

Renée thrives on helping farmers and growers get the most from their farm business, whatever that looks like.

Originally from Hawke’s Bay and now living in Wairarapa, Renée graduated from Massey University and went to work in apples and pears for the early part of her career before moving into roles in the red meat sector.

She was relocated to the UK and spent nearly seven years between UK and Europe working with New Zealand exporters and top UK-EU retail customers. She took a year to study for an MBA at Cranfield University and went on to work for agribusiness giants Syngenta and Cargill throughout Europe, Middle East, Turkey and Africa. Working with retail customers and global agribusinesses taught her a lot about value chains, understanding customer needs, fast changing environments, continual innovation to drive future growth and developing and marketing commercial solutions to meet them. These companies had exceptional training and development programmes, and Renée took every opportunity to take part in them.

These experiences shaped Renée’s career and have given her a deep understanding of business and farming globally, and a point of difference that benefits her work with New Zealand farmers and agribusinesses in these challenging times.

Renée returned home to New Zealand and established Inside New Zealand in 2017. Inside New Zealand specialises in production agriculture and the associated value chains. We provide simple, brilliant, agri-solutions to farmers and industry, with a down-to-earth, yet quietly ambitious, approach.

Industry Qualifications

Renée is a member of New Zealand Institute of Primary Industry Management (NZIPIM), a member of the New Zealand Farm Forestry Association and an associate member of the New Zealand Veterinary Association, along with being a member of the Institute of Directors.

She is an accredited Farmax consultant and holds an Intermediate certificate in sustainable nutrient management.

Each professional membership and accreditation requires a commitment to a code of conduct and on-going professional development and training to ensure capability and knowledge of its members.

Renée holds a number of governance roles in addition, sitting on industry and farming boards.
